PLAYHOUSE

Requested by my two little boys to build a playhouse, I knew I had a fun project ahead of me. It needed to be small enough for our little yard, yet something that would be large enough for the two of them. It would also need to be almost bomb proof, as any less would be destroyed by the little monkeys. I ended up taking a simple box shape that was essentially dictated by the size of plywood, as it needed to be be relatively low cost and I have a basic distaste of waste. Using varied window openings and a small sloped parapet for the roof top platform to give the house shape and interest, we arrived at a design everyone was happy with.
